To: All Conuma Coal Resources (CCR) Employees Re: COVID-19 Update 5
Since instituting our COVID-19 protocols, and your ongoing focus on maintaining social distancing and hygiene practices, CCR continues to have no presumed or confirmed cases of COVID-19 of which we are aware. This benefits us all by allowing us to continue to perform our core business functions in a safe and healthy manner during these uncertain times.
Over the past 7 weeks, 257 employees have followed our policy and engaged in precautionary self-isolation. The majority of these employees have returned back to work healthy and we anticipate that employees will continue to return to work following completion of their respective isolation periods.
CCR continues to monitor the recommendations from Government, Health Authorities, Chief Inspector of Mines and our Occupational Doctor, who continues to support us with our response efforts.
Updates on Government-Imposed Restrictions
You may have seen in the news recently; the Federal and Provincial Governments have discussed the potential for relaxing certain restrictions related to COVID-19. While no final decisions have been announced, we can expect to see details becoming clearer over the coming days.
However, it is also important to emphasize that this does not mean that it is time to relax or let our guard down.
It is imperative that we continue to be focused and diligent.
Health Ministry officials have released a "hierarchy of controls for reducing transmission hazards."
We must continue to respect and adhere to the practices that have been put into place to fight COVID-19. This means continuing to practice social distancing, good hygiene and good respiratory etiquette. This also means not reporting to work if you have symptoms of COVID-19. We expect that you will continue to adhere to these practices, both at work and in your communities.
Again, now is not the time to let our guard down.
Thank you again for your patience and diligence. Thank you.
